Holistic Healing and Wellness
With over 20 years of experience, our Licensed Clinical Social Worker treats adults, children, and adolescents. Currently, we accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare (Optum), and Aetna and will submit as an out of network provider. Fees for self-pay clients are billed at a rate of $160 for an initial assessment and session and $140 for subsequent 55 minute sessions. Sliding scale rates are available based on need.
Reiki is a Japanese form of alternative medicine called energy healing used to encourage emotional or physical healing. Used in hospitals, clinics and private settings around the world, Reiki is a safe and gentle, complimentary therapy that activates the parasympathetic nervous system (the part responsible for all of our unconscious body functions, including, breathing, digesting, heart beating, etc.) to heal the body and mind. Harvard studies on the practice have shown statistically significant improvements in pain, nausea, anxiety, depression, fatigue, and a sense of well-being after just one session. $65 for a 45 minute session.
What can I expect? A typical session lasts for 45 minutes and begins with the client lying down on a massage table fully clothed. Before your session, you can discuss thoughts or concerns. You can choose to ask questions during your session or relax and remain silent, meditate, or nap while listening to relaxing music. The provider will work above your body. They will feel for places where the energy is stagnant or deficient and work to clear and move the energy. People often comment on how comforting they find the experience of Reiki to be. The most common experience is an almost immediate release of stress and a feeling of deep relaxation.
Authentic Living Program
As women, we often get caught up in the day to day stressors of life, which often includes caring for and tending to the needs of those closest to us. In the process we can lose sight of our own interests, passions, goals, and purpose. As a result, we may find ourselves overwhelmed, stressed, burnt out, anxious, or depressed. When we take the time and energy to reinvest in ourselves and reconnect to our core values and soul purpose we can experience a greater sense of peace, joy, satisfaction and an overall healthier state of well being.
Our Authentic Living Program for women guides you through the beginning steps to reconnect with the core of who you are or who you want to be.
What can I expect? The program consists of six 45 minute sessions which include discussion, reflection, written exercises, mediation and follow up practice for the week. Mindful Living Program
For many of us, we live in the a constant state of doing. We have forgotten how to just be, how to connect with others, our surroundings, and especially with ourselves. Mindfulness, the practice of living or intentionally being in the present moment can help us slow down, reconnect, and reduce stress. Our six week course covers the basic principles of mindfulness, meditation and breath work, mindful connection and communication, and mindful awareness of thoughts, emotions, and reactions.
What can I expect? Each 45 minute session will include lessons, discussion, hands on practice, meditation and breath work, and homework suggestions to further and deepen your practice in between sessions. What sets you apart from other programs? Mindfulness has become quite the buzz word in the last decade and we love that the art is now mainstream and accessible to so many. However, our program is run by an experienced and dedicated clinician with not only nearly a decade of teaching the practice of Mindfulness, but even longer as a student of mindfulness with advanced training and certificates in Mindful Based Cognitive Therapy, Mindful Based Stress Reduction, and as a Mindful Schools Educator. Over 1000 children, adolescents, and adults have participated in her Mindfulness program.
