Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
We are in network with most major insurance carriers including BCBS PPO, Aetna, United Healthcare, Cigna, Optum, and Evernorth. We do offer sliding scale fees for those without insurance and may be in financial need. We can also provide your with necessary documentation for out of network benefits to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement
What can I expect in a therapy session?
We do not believe in a one size fits all, cookie cutter approach to healing or wellness. While the first few sessions entail a lot of “getting to know you,” subsequent sessions are tailored to meet your individual needs and therapeutic goals.
What can I expect for my child/teen in therapy?
We want your child to feel that they have a safe space to talk and work on any therapeutic issues. Therapists will work on building a trusting, therapeutic rapport and will work at your child’s pace and comfort level. In order to build a safe space, therapists will never talk about a session or your child at a session or in front of him/her. We do understand that your involvement may also be necessary at times. Therapists may invite you in to join a session if appropriate or will provide periodic updates on skill building and progress.
How long are sessions and how much do they cost?
Sessions for adults are 53-55 minutes. Sessions for teens vary between 45-55 minutes and are client dependent.
If you choose to use insurance benefits, we will bill insurance for you and you will be responsible for any co-pays , deductibles, or coinsurance as set forth by your plan.
If you choose not to use insurance benefits rates are as follows:
Intake session: $175
Subsequent sessions: $165
If you choose to use out of network benefits, we will provide appropriate paperwork for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Are services provided in person or telehealth?
Adult and teen sessions can be provided in person or via telehealth. Our child clients are seen in person.
What is your cancellation policy?
We do require 24 hours notice or more for cancellations. Any cancellation or no-show is charged the full session price, which is not covered by insurance. We do honor our policy in order to remain fair and consistent with our clients and to protect the time and income of our therapists. Thank you for understanding.
