Meet the Team

Judith Barajas, LSW

Judith is a Licensed Social Worker with several years experience working with children and adolescents as a School Social Worker, as well as in private practice. Additionally, she has experience working with community mental health and within state legislators in community policy and advocacy. 

Judith specializes in treating Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Issues with Self-Esteem, Social Skills, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Stress Reduction, Mindfulness and Behavior Management. She is also bilingual English/Spanish.

More recently, Judith has begun pursuing her passion of working with adult women of color, Latina/o/x, and 1/1.5 generation populations and assisting individuals navigate life challenges with the understanding of the interconnectedness of cultural, family and generational expectations.

Within sessions, Judith provides a warm environment in which she ensures safety, authenticity, and empowerment for her clients. She is an empathetic and intuitive listener who works within a growth mindset framework with a culturally responsive and strengths based perspective.

Judith obtained both her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Social Work from Aurora University.

In her free time, Judith enjoys yoga, plants (especially succulents, hoyas, and cacti), cooking, nature walks, meditation and exploring/practicing her indigenous roots. When not working, you can also find her spending time with her family, catching up on her favorite shows, and baking bread.
